Biography

Ferne Traeger, Founder and President of Beyond the Boardroom, is an executive coach, organizational consultant and psychoanalyst. A Columbia Business School graduate as well as a licensed certified social worker, Ferne combines her twenty-five years' experience in business management and organizational consulting with ten years' clinical practice experience to assist executives and organizations with career transitions. Her commitment to work-life integration and workplace flexibility informs her work with organizations as well as individuals. Ferne is a frequently cited resource on career transitions, and how they can positively impact personal and professional development.

Ferne is a member of The Columbia Graduate School of Business Alumni Club, The Employee Assistance Professional Association ("EAPA"), The National Association of Social Workers , The Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, and The New York Freudian Society where she completed a postgraduate training program in psychoanalysis.

Ferne received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA in Finance from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and an MSW from New York University Silver School of Social Work. She has a certificate in organizational consulting and executive coaching.
